"This was our first time staying at Garden Lago with Diamond Resorts. In the past we have found the on site restaurants to be pretty basic and somewhat lacking in atmosphere. We are a family of 4, 2 adults and children 14 and 11. The restaurant faces a lake which is home to a wake boarding facility which was very amusing and many a topic of conversation watching the boarders attempt jumps and acrobtics.. The restaurant offers offers a half board facility which is anything off the breakfast menu ranging from full cooked english, to cereal, croissant etc with a drink included. The evening meal was dependant on the nightly specials that the restaurant had on themed nights mainly, which were 3 courses, with various options for starter, main and desert. All this for 169 euro's for the family for 3 days.An absolute bargain for what we would normally spend and I had no cooking to do!. We could take breakfast at any time and often due to late morning starts would not be having breakfast until 11.30 even mid day. Nothing was a problem for the staff. The portions were huge and the food tasted amazing. Having the themed nights meant we had the opportunity to taste local cuisine that otherwise we wouldn't have done so. The fish and meat dishes were delicious. No complaints from the kids either and lets face it kids can be picky at times. In fact we then went and booked another course of half board options. The longer the period of half board taken the cheaper the cost per person). Family fun entertainment was on most evenings quizzes where all the family were able to get involved without having to press buttons on an i pod of some type!!!! Never once did we have a disappointing meal . Many thanks to the owner, can't remember his name but a very accommodating guy who went out of his way to be polite and friendly.Also thanks to Charles, Yesid and Howard who made our stay extremely welcoming, and not forgetting of course Darren, the Cheeky Cockney. We would definitely go back without any hesitation."
