"I have several times in recent weeks been with friends to the restaurant situated on the banks of the Plans d’Eau (Lakes) of St Jean Pla de Corts. The building is of fairly typical beach restaurant structure with roller blind windowed walls for the very...occasional windy or rainy days, an outside shaded, paved area for dancing and a bandstand for regular evening concerts. The latter range over many styles from Flamenco, through Rock to ballroom with a typical enthusiastic French participation. The leisure park is several square kilometres in area. The view from the restaurant of the mountains over the lake is stunning, as are the beautifully landscaped and planted grounds. During the daytime the grounds abound with families and children swimming or enjoying the adventure trails. The restaurant has a very hospitable, informal atmosphere and serves anything from a leisurely coffee or beer in the morning to a menu de jour or à la carte lunch and similar dinner menus. À la carte menus have about eight plats with perhaps five entrées and five desserts. The wine list is limited but of good quality, I recommend a carafe of house wine. Food is mainly Catalan and is of very good quality. Service is friendly and efficient. Reservation advised. Open from last weekend in April to last weekend in September. Highly recommended for an informal meal, however big or small the party."
