"We found this little place randomly after we found that the vegetarian restaurant we were looking for was closed. what a happiness! la gran manzana (the big apple) is a beautiful, cozy, friendly restaurant that serves a fantastic course menu del dia' for a very pesos. the dishes are all vegetarian or vegan and typical of the region. on the day we visited, we had a selection of salads: sweet', with nuts, apples and rustles, and hearty, both were delicious and very fresh. to follow, the selection was pasta or suppe, so we had one of each and, again, very tasty and decent size portions. next, molleten: delicious patties, accompanied by mixed veg, or a mais and nopal (cactus paddle casserole, in a spicy chipotle broth .yum! for the conclusion we served a fragrant milk pudding with pfirsich pieces. the menu del dia includes a fresh fruit drink with a refill! the place is small (over covers) and inconvenient, but the atmosphere is special and eating is delicious. it is so good to find a vegetarian restaurant serving typical dishes. there were also some vegan products for sale. the personal speaks Spanish and only a few words English. it is quite a way from the center, but a simple bus ride and it is worth it."

"El lugar cuenta con una ubicación privilegiada, el menú es pequeño pero con acertadas especialidades. La atención es buena. El tiempo de espera de los alimentos es un poco extensa, recomiendo llevar paciencia. El sabor de los platillos es muy bueno y en porciones adecuadas. En relación al precio-calidad, considero un poco elevado los precios, pero sin duda la vista te hace que lo pases por alto."

"This restaurant has really delicious food. It also has separate vegan menu. It was very good after quite a lot of time in Mexico to taste a little European cuisine. I really recommend you try onion soup, it was so delicious! Prices are more expensive than in other restaurants. But I think that vegan menu has more normal prices than the normal menu. I ordered soup and curry and there were 240 pesos together. I recommend this restaurant!"

"Los baños siempre huelen a orines. No tienen papel en los sanitarios y no tienen papel para secarse las manos o secador eléctrico.La comida es regular, algunos platillos se salvan. Huele a pan recién hecho que es bueno, pero es un lugar bastante caro para lo que ofrecen. Es increíble como subsisten con tan mala calidad y un precio bastante elevado. No dan ticket de compra cuando uno paga y todos andan de mala cara."

"My wife and I were invited to this restaurant by our traveling friends who have eaten there before on a prior trip. When we walked in there was only one other table with 4 persons being served, the rest of the place was empty. This is usually not a good sign, but we were soon to be impressed. The ambiance is a delight. The service was old school with very attentive and respectful wait staff. All the courses came out together and were hot considering the cool night it was. The food was very good with modern presentation. I had to keep away form spicy that night so my dish, which was salmon, was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. My wife and two friends had the more traditional dishes from Puebla and were very happy.This is a must for anyone visiting Puebla."
