"Must have been at Candlelight on a bad night. Worst meal ever in a restaurant. Hamburger in tacos was burned to a crisp. Water and iced tea tasted like it had salt in it. Waiter acted like he did us a favor to comp the tacos which were not edible."

"My husband and I toured St. Augustine and stopped for dinner. We had delicious manicotti, sausage sides and potatoes. These dishes were hot and delicious. We also ordered a page of meatballs. The meatballs were large and had a beautiful red sauce... but they came hard packed and room temperature. The place was clean and service good. We've seen a big moment between a cop and a boy."

"We've been here for over 20 years and it was our always popular restaurant. Tonight we did not find air conditioning in the main area. We were lucky to ask for better air and have moved back. Understanding these things, we chose a fantastic dinner. Then we were told that they no longer offer their ingenious bread, but still have their famous salad. (It's a must!) Unfortunately we found out that the shop was sold in Dec and the new owners took all the old world Florida charm decor and now there are only white naked walls. The menu was reduced and the prices were high and it is simply not the same. I will say the waiting staff is AS WONDERFUL AS USUAL!! I sincerely hope that the new owners will reconsider the changes and bring back what made this place a bucket list every year. I can't tell you how often I recommend this place just because of its charm.."
