"This is a traditional pub with an attractive, unspoilt interior featuring a central bar in the main room and a separate room down the far end, each with its own distinctive character. In fact I believe the pub has been refurbished in recent years to bring it back to its former glory and a great job they have done with this. There are four handpumps offering a varying range of ales (only three in use at the time of my visit) for me an excellent pint of Hammerton's N1 went down very nicely. The one thing that is not traditional about this pub is the food which is Thai (although there are one or two British options for the unadventurous). I opted for the Plaa Choo chee, a deep fried cod dish, in a mild red curry with peppers and served with jasmine rice. This proved an excellent choice and good value at £12.50. Staff are very welcoming and friendly; there are a few tables outside."

"What a great find! This pub is within easy walking distance of Kings Cross St Pancras. A warm welcome by the lady behind the bar who actively informed me of the wide ranging beer choices. I received some great advice on what to taste. Perfect place to come for a beer and food. Whilst I didn't stay for it they clearly have a lot of evening events, from comedy to karaoke, which are hosted in a separate function room. Lots of character and a lively atmosphere."

"A really friendly place to visit with a friendly, pleasant atmosphere. my friend brought me to the place last year and I have a little addicted to the fried fish. it is cooked and seasoned every time I visit. I recently took a 5 months sabbatical to take away food. april 2018 and I returned to herrn cee and the manager greeted me with my name and noticed that I had not visited for one. it is always a nice note when the manager remembers her names. in any case happy to be back, eating still tastes amazing."

"For the past three years now I’ve been working in Marylebone and within all that time I’ve been incredibly spoilt in terms of food choice. From fine dining, amazing burgers, to Michelin star bonanza. Our offices have since moved to Holborn and with just a mile in-between them both – the food scene is totally different. It’s all about drinking here in Holborn and fast casual dining. Walk into any restaurant or shop after 3pm and it’s like a ghost town, with most places not even bothering to open at the weekends. It’s all very odd."
