"I booked a reservation well in advance, and we still were seated at a high top table. Requested a booth but were told it would be 45 min to an hour. Food was ok, portions were small for the price. Definitely nothing spectacular. Service was meh our server seemed like they couldn’t be bothered with us. Checked all the required boxes but nothing outstanding. Overall, it was a very pricey average meal. I would have rather have gone somewhere else and spent less money and had a better experience."

"I went in. a simple question about the substitution of a topping on the special. the swollen joch that worked there was rude with this answer. a simple no would have worked. the place looked very dirty. not recommended"

"Best place to go for a red curry for lunch, cheap lunch menu, I go often. if your looking for dumplings, this is the place. Update: been a while since I was here so went last night, still great service and yummy ready to go curries, still 5 stars"

"Our hotel was a block away so we bite here for a late evening on a Saturday night. It was after midnight and they said their kitchen was open until 12:30. So we ordered some beers and their nachos. We seemed to wait a while for the nachos, but when they came out, I was actually impressed with how fresh the chips were and the extra toppings of salsa and acid cream gave us in a bowl on the side. We even refilled this bowl because we had a lot of chips left to dedicate ourselves. Unfortunately, the last call was made before we got our nachos. My friend tried to plead another beer after completing our nachos, but they wouldn't give him any. Considering that at least 30 other people still drink at the bar (including some of the servers), an additional beer would not have hurt."

"If you love beer, cocktails, live music, and great food you have to check out The Royal. It's right on Baker St, in the heart of the action in downtown Nelson. The have a huge selection of local craft beers, and really delicious, unique foods for great prices. I always get the black bean veggie burger with added feta AND cheddar cheese. SO GOOD. It's the only place in town with the sound system and tech to REALLY enjoy live music. Always a great lineup of local and touring artists. On top of music, there's also paint nights and movie nights. A true community hub!"
