"Food and service were extremely good! The fish and chips was cooked perfectly. Flake cod, good batter, not to heavy! Plenty of fries! Crab bites were good, except for the shell pieces left in the crab mix, but the bright side, I know they aren't frozen! "

"Love coming back for the fish Plaki dishes. I recently had halibut and cod and both were delicious. Lunch and brunch are great. I like to get a Caesar Salad or the fantastic BOMB burger best in town. Come to think, the calamari is alsoterrific."

"Potato and Smoked Fish Soup ???. I love the flavor of this soup. And it's no pork in it. Went back the next day. Definitely have to get here early because they sell out and rightfully so! Oyster and Flounder Plates with the Hush Honeys. Coleslaw is delicious!, I ate my husbands before he got to it. It's really good. The sauces ??. GREAT JOB!!!"

"I always love grilling one point to try every grill restaurant I come. Picnic was a welcome addition to the North Durham area and this place was my absolute favorite grill restaurant (in the whole country!! Pre-Covid. The grill is always very tasteful with minimal gristle her proprietary Carolina style bbq sauce is some of the best I ever tasted! To finish the meal, they have some of the absolutely best banana pudding I've ever had! So you have to wonder with all the praise why Doc Picnic is a star? Sometime around Covid, they started to sound a little too much with the menu and many of the amazing pages they offered changed. They were completely rid of fries for the longest time, just to bring them back as a completely different hard weapon footsteps. The original style fries had much better taste texture. They also changed the original Mac n cheese recipe to a simpler, bland style. Finally, they increased their prices (understood bc of Covid problems, but their portion sizes also fell enormously. Do what they can stay during these hard economic times, but at the same time you can't leave what made you success imo. I still claim Picnic?s Grill as some of the best in the country, but I can't do it more than the overall best grill restaurant because of all the changes that have occurred since the original opening. Here, to hope that they will do what they so specialized!"
