"The Oyster selection at this place is exceptional. The staff members are pleasant and friendly, although it's important to be proactive in seeking their service. The Lobster biscuits have a delightful touch, but they could enhance the amount of lobster and reduce the salt a bit for absolute perfection. The taco shells are slightly undercooked and tough, but the overall taste is enjoyable. The restaurant's decor is tastefully done, and even the restroom reflects the attention to detail. It's a delightful spot to visit for oysters, and it's no surprise that it has stood the test of time. Will I return, I would say it's definitely maybe!"

"Never been to a speciality handmade udon place before, but if I ever have the chance to come back here on another trip to Toronto, I would definitely return! Ordered the eggplant and fried oysters for appetizers which were great, but the star was the udon with a very light, clear broth and the noodles having a great texture. Perfect if you’re not looking to have too heavy a meal, but plenty of delicious appetizer options to add-on as well!"

"Aoyama is a tiny restaurant. Reservations ensure that there will be a table waiting for you upon arrival. Otherwise there will be a long wait. Fresh quality fish is expensive and you must expect to pay between $120 and $150 depending on how much you eat and how much sake you drink. But it is most certainly worth the price on all levels. Friday and Saturday nights mean the restaurant is full from opening until closing. We have tried many Japanese sushi restaurants in Toronto but we keep returning to Aoyama Sushi. The simple answer is that the fish quality and price are unbeatable. We take umbrage at the service on occasion but tend to ignore the communication problems because of the fish. We are always pleased by the House Special Sashimi Plate made up of an assortment of quality raw seafood and variety for only $55.00. The uni is a special delight. Instead of ordered off the menu, this night we chose to have the Special Omakase dinner by Chef Masa Endo. It was a veritable feast including fresh sashimi, lobster, tempura and sushi. As do a number of Japanese restaurants in Toronto, Chef Masa Endo orders fish from Japan using the internet. The fish is shipped by air and arrives in Toronto on Thursday just in time for the weekend rush."

"This restaurant is fab! We had an amazing server, Kayla, who helped us with what to order and made some excellent recommendations. We wanted to try everything so she recommended this sharing board which had everything and was the perfect amount. It was my mum and dads 25th wedding anniversary so they even brought out desert and some whiskies on the house!! Would defo be back and in such a good location too"
