"We ate here having arrived in Alencon on a bank holiday and found everything in the town shut. The patron took pity on us starving Brits (and another family with two children) and opened the kitchen early and we enjoyed a three course meal there. I can't speak highly enough of this place - there was certainly no "jobsworth" working there - the guy saw customers and pushed the boat out to serve us. He was charming too. And the food was good."

"We went with four adults, four teenagers for lunch. The starters (vapeurs dumplings) and 'assortiment ' (including crystal rolls) were so delicious and fresh tasting. The mains were also beautifully flavoured. Best of all, the host was the most charming gentleman, attentive and helpful. There were some beautiful paintings on silk for sale too, and one has made it back as a lovely memento of our holiday and delicious meal."

"Home fries are very good, nothing to say about this side. But the meat, of very poor quality, probably made of abs, was just unclean! This is the first time in my life that I can’t even eat a kebab! Already the smell of old andouillette I thought I was going to vomit "

"We opted for the evening formule.. quite a basic fare of grilled ham with fries, but a tasty crème brulee. Service was really slow however we had to wait a long time for someone to come and collect our food order and there could probably do with more staff. The atmosphere is lovely though, right by the Cathedral, with comfortable seating and a relaxed environment."
