"We happened here by chance and so glad we did. After our first meal, we returned twice more and plan to visit our next time to PEI. The food is fresh and delicious, made with local produce. Nice to know that there isn't even a fryer in the kitchen! It is a true family restaurant with caring owners."

"I've eaten here several times and has never been as disappointed as today. shows what happens if management isn't around. I hope there was no manager today. none of the hired had nameplates. So I can't inform the administration that was the immature unripe bank. they do not know that they have lost a long-term customer today. when they wait minutes (as per food monitor) and they see that their burger sit there for at least half the time and ask them the cashiers know how much more, they never replied to me, but said the kitchen was not there to wait wobble rings with that when I flopped my food on the tablet before me, there was no kind of thank you, no apologise or thank you for that. I have dropped the food and gone. I don't expect fast food places to kiss behind you, but I expect a little customer value."

"Never having been to New Glasgow before, or even Nova Scotia, it was always a bit hit and miss where would eat. But the West Side Bistro was everything we hoped it would be. The owners were delightful and interesting - and the food was excellent. Enjoyed every mouthful."

"Order the fish and chips you can't go wrong. Yummy two piece. My daughter had a hot sandwich also very good. We sat in and were quite comfortable. Owner very nice and waited on us personally. So inexpensive I gasped. They also offer take out."

"What a fantastic Irish Pub Restaurant! Stopped in for lunch on our drive out east earlier this month so glad we did... food is excellent easily one of the best seafood chowders we had during our whole vacation. Owners are lovely people, the service was amazing. Highly recommend!"

"Stopped in for cute little lunch which ended in an upset stomach. We were provided cutlery with food still on them. We mentioned something and they were promptly replaced. She then brought us our waters but my glass had something in it as well as lip prints from the previous drinker. I asked for a can instead as I figured I’d be safe that way. Food was okay, exactly what you’d expect for a small diner. Seated next to the front door which was kinda chilly given the season and quickly cooled the food we were eating. Likely won’t be back."

"Donair Meat was extremely dried out, overcooked. Told the waitress and assumed she would adjust the bill. than of the Donair was left on the plate as it just was too hard to chew. Asked for the manager when we went to pay...the bill. The manager said we should have been offered to have the meal replaced. The waitress lied and said she offered but she did not, she lied and as a result no tip from all four of us."

"Decided to pop over for a bite after a long week and was thrilled my fav server was working. Had the wings and they were so good. Hubby tried the philly steak wrap and he really enjoyed it. Was a hopping place with lots of...laughter and lively chatter. Great spot to people watch and relax. Thanks Jordan for the great service."
