"To be honest, it is one of the only pubs/restaurants where you can come in the evening and have a drink and enjoy your evening. It's opened until 1, most of the time. In Oberstdorf that is quite exceptional; there are like 2 or 3...other places that are also opened until this time. The atmosphere is good and its terrace in summer is nice too. They offer a nice breakfast buffet for a reasonable price. The food is regular; they offer everything like pizza/salads/german... AND this food is all served until around 11 in the evening. SO if you are trying to find a restaurant after 9, try here."

"The overall impression is great, the guest room is very nice and cozy. The entire staff is consistently friendly, everything is lovingly prepared. And the most important food: it is always a pleasure to eat here, there is nothing to complain! Very good quality and a great menu, here is something for everyone. They don't do anything wrong with a dish because everything is delicious. Go! Unfortunately we did not take photos of our food, because when this food comes to the table, you don't think about it anymore;"

"I picked up last minute with the family. the personal was really friendly and found us a table. the child menu was very good. real meat in nuggets instead of the processed things we sometimes see. and generous portions filled a 12-year-old...after a day skiing. the food was as good and generous."

"We decided to eat here because the number 1 choice in town was closed. We arrived, already having a booking inside. We wanted to sit outside while my partner had a cigarette. The waiter took it upon himself to cancel our table inside. When we explained we just wanted to be outside for the smoking and come inside for the meal we were treated curtly. I'm not sure if there's some Bavarian custom about this but we felt offended. Once inside, the food was average; I had an Allgauer speciality and my partner, the turkey strips with noodles. The waiter tried to be civil later in our meal but the damage was done. Look elsewhere in town for dining out."
