"I've been going to the Occo Kitchen take out spot on st-Joseph since it opened. The tacos were to die for... My husband and I would pick up tacos from there several times a month, it was our guilty pleasure! I'm a foodie and gravitate towards downtown eating (for obvious reasons) but live in Orleans, so I was thrilled to see this thriving shop open up in my neighborhood that gave us an alternate food option to the main stream boring restaurants there are out here. The ingredients were delicious, the colors were vibrant, and the portions were huge! The price was bit steep, but totally worth it for what you got and it was bang on every time. We raved about this place to everyone!I have to say.... I'm extremely disappointed with the quality over the past few months and have been hearing this from alot of people as well. It's now hit or miss with whether your fish taco is going to be dry or over fried, the caesar salad just swims in dressing, and the portion size has been almost cut in half!!! Also, what ever happened to those little beads of goodness that just exploded flavour into your mouth?I don't know if this is due to word getting around, sales going up and wanting to drastically increase the profit margin but the size and quality of the tacos no longer justifies paying $6 a piece. It also seem as though since the restaurant opened up on Innes road the take out spot has suffered in quality control... It's no longer the "big fish" and you don't feel the owners pride go into each taco as we did before... It now tastes just like the care of any chain restaurant. Super disappointing and I will continue to hope this turns around!"

"I found out that the "Orleans Star" newspaper held a local competition in 2013 for which local folks were asked to vote for the Pizza Restaurant which they felt provided the best service, and the winner was, "River Pizza", thus the person who left the review about the service not being great is likely the only person, or one of very few people who have gauged River Pizzas' service in such an incongruous manner. The service is phenomenal, the staff are professional, they are polite, courteous and are extremely loyal to their customers. The stores in both Cumberland and Orleans are sparkling clean, and the food is very fresh. I have personally tried almost every pizza stores' pizza in Orleans throughout the last 24 years and River Pizzas' pizza makes them all look like frozen pizza that was cooked in a microwave for 5 minutes. River Pizzas' pizza is a homemade style pizza baked in a very high quality oven on a baking stone and thus the pizza cooks thoroughly, and additionally there is a generous amount of cheese and a healthy volume of toppings on them. I have tried Moma Rosas which a previous reviewer preffered to River Pizza and although it is better than most pizza stores in Orleans, River Pizzas' quality is toweringly superior to Moma Rosas. Indeed there is a great reason why the people of Orleans voted for River Pizza as being the best pizza store in Orleans and that is because they appreciate the best service and the great family type atmosphere that is enjoyed with the experience of joining the River Pizza family! Another matter worth noting is that they also have plenty of other types of food there including subs, donairs, wings, pastas, hamburgers, onion rings, french fries, garlic bread and many other great types of foodstuffs. Chef Ramsey, one of the most famous chefs and food critics in the world would have every great reason to praise the service and quality of food at River Pizza which the staff there have great pride in providing to the great communities of Orleans and Cumberland or to any people visiting these two beautiful communities."

"I would like to review this restaurant, but, we were left standing at the door for too long, so we left. There were people to the right of the door sorting through some things, they saw us, there were a few guys at the bar,...but no one came to seat us. It doesn't appear that the door can be seen from within. We won't be back."

"We were very disappointed by our extradition order. small in portions. caesar salat was all salt! I've never had such a salty salad. it was almost impossible. the club sandwich was both soggy and burned. I was shocked to see that the brot was actually black. the smoked meat sandwich was not roasted or something, simply thrown together with nothing other than meat between brot. no scab or dressing. we also ordered a smoothie and there were tons of unmixed pieces in it! I liked eating it at broadway, but that was such a waste of money. I would not order here again and I would advise others. it is as if the food preparation was not given care. if I had been in business, I wouldn't have paid for this meal. my man and I will not be back."
