"Since my review in July the restaurant has changed owners. The new owners and staff are very friendly and helpful and they don't charge for coffee refills after the second cup or for the little packages of jam or peanut butter. Eggs Benedict were very good as were the usual bacon and eggs and the included smashed potatoes were excellent."

"Met with some old friends for supper The food was really good, the fish and chips were delicious, But how as a Brasserie, do you run out of beer on tap? Stella? Nope? Three different beers asked for, supposedly on tap, were not available. Come on Guys!! Up your game!"

"We took an out of town guest to experience an authentic poutine. There was one person in front of us and when they got their order the employee took off for a few minutes with no acknowledgement or explanation. We ordered 1 large poutine and one Michigan. The fries were way over cooked and the gravy very salty. The michigan was a regular size hot-dog with a little sauce ($3.25). Cost for the two was over $15 and it was very disappointing."

"We were looking forward to a wonderful meal and experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful and large with lots of space. We had booked it for last week, but hadn 't realized it was a BYOB, so we ended up next door at Notre Boeuf de Grace that day....There, it was a bit more crowded and obviously the food was different, but the waitresses were always pleasant and present and available, asking if everything was good. At L 'Academie tonight, we were seated and our waitress Ashley only showed up after 10 minutes to open our wine. By that time, we knew what we wanted, so we placed our order. Our food came soon enough, but the Atlantic Salmon was overcooked, and the Yellowfin Pepper Tuna didn 't have any sauce or flavour it was supposed to have a wasabi sesame seed oil vinaigrette which I did not taste at all. After Ashley brought us our food, she didn 't come by to ask if everything was ok until taking away our plates. We were waiting to get our bill. And waited. And waited. We finally flagged down another waitress, who said Ashley was busy with a group , so the new waitress brought us our bill. Guess what Ashley? The other waitress got double your tip, just for 2 minutes of showing us some respect. My recommendation? Go next door."

"Warm reception from the moment we arrived. Every member of staff were attentive, also fully bilingual Our server was clear in her menu description, which we appreciated even more, due to fact one of us has allergy issues.Interesting wine list, very detailed by server. Food was incredible, delicate, complex flavors . Truly delicious. Local art on walls. Never noisy. Parking in back or easily on the street. Highly recommend."

"Arrived at Moe’s today at 11:30am, specifically asked hostess if they were still serving breakfast, she said yes, provided breakfast menus and gave us a booth. About 5 minutes later the waiter shows up with lunch menus and tells us hostess gave us the wrong menus. I said we asked for breakfast, he replied we’re not serving breakfast any more so, we got up and left. I think this kind of kurfuffel between staff should not be made obvious to a client. He should have just served us and talk to the hostess privately about timing. Instead he decided to give clients lousy service. No more Moe’s for us........"
