"Anyone who has followed my reviews knows I give credit where credit is due and I tell it like it is when something needs to change. I am a retired chef. When something is good, I usually know why and say so, when it is...bad, I can tell you the reason. I don't often stop at chip trucks, it's not really my thing but today Grandma Grandpa picked up our year old grandson from Bobcaygeon Ontario for the long weekend. A noon hour stop for a sit down meal was not high on Azariah's list of preferred activities but the bright blue and white French Fry truck...well that caught his attention. Fries and a truck, double Wow! It was not busy for noon on a Friday with plenty of long weekend traffic flow. We had just passed another Chip truck on the main street across town and the parking lot was packed.That should have been my first clue. One small and one large fry came to and you pay up front before seeing your order. That may be standard practice in the food truck business but in this case, it was buyer cannot beware. The order was fast, under minutes. The fries were dark and looked well cooked. Since we were traveling, I did not know the rest of the story until a few miles down the road. The fries had been pre-cooked (blanched) at least hour ahead or they were clearly the unsold fries from a slow day Thurday or even Wednesday. The oil they were cooked in tasted of burnt fish. Most of the fries in both orders were so over cooked and hard as to be inedible and dispersed with the overcooked old fries were a few fresh that were still raw inside. This is a result of too high a temperature during the blanching process. Mixing left over old fries and fresher product is a fast food sin, selling a product of that quality is reprehensible."

"We were getting hungry and when we drove by the Truly Canadian chip truck we turned around and decided to try it for lunch. I order a chicken burger and fries, thinking I would just get a chicken patty but what I got was a real piece of chicken breast crispy and full of flavour. While we were waiting we tried one of the homemade butter tarts available, definitely a must try. They also make pies on site, if we weren't travelling we would of bought one. They had covered tables and chairs you could sit at, and a washroom available. If your driving around Tweed, ON stop and try it or just take home a pie."

"Went here for a date with my partner and we had an awesome time. The place was much smaller than we thought but we loved everything about it. The food was good, the bowling was fun and easy to understand the scoring method for beginners. It was very reasonably priced and we will be bringing our children here in the future, it was a very family friendly atmosphere without feeling like it was overrun with kids."
