"Friendly, welcoming and a lovely atmosphere. Food was amazing with large portions and great value for money. Lenton, our server, was excellent, checking everything was OK without being over bearing. He was polite, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Couldn't manage dessert so will be returning to sample those. Definitely reccomend and will be visiting again"

"Ordered the American fries which I’m had multiple times with no complaints but after one bite my partner took them back as the bacon was ice cold the cook just said yep that’s how it’s served and turned away. The lady taking the orders offered us a refund and she was unsure why the bacon would be served cold with hot chips she apologised and took down my partners name and number and said someone would call him but we never got any phone call. Very disappointing"

"Visiting Godalming for the first time, The Star quickly became my favourite pub. Very old building, around 200 years old with few changes. Small bar at front but extends back to a further bar and garden. Very welcoming staff and very busy. i am a Camra member and by chance, visited during an ale festival. Around 40 ales on offer, usually around 15. Lots of choice and some of my favourites. Will definately return."

"The food at The Bluebell is astonishing, the garden is huge and one area is covered. They own two goats, one called Phil and one called ben, they are young goats and can do amazing stunts!"
