"My wife took me here at the high season and was surprised by the quality of the food and wine and also the service of the employees. we allowed the waitress to decide the best tapas and matching wee and all were well above average. if they want a nice night out or maybe a few pretty drinks as trying adlingtons, they won't be disappointed."

"We arrive for lunch on Australia Day, and are delighted to find that dinner is available. The welcoming lady is very friendly, if preoccupied with the steak special which doesn't interest us! We sign in, and enter the bistro, which is a pleasant, spacious well lit area. It is not hard to choose from the half dozen meal items available. Our meals are nicely presented, hot and tasty, and we follow this with the dessert special - the only dessert, I think! - which is also very acceptable. We return the following night for an equally enjoyable experience."

"If this is the kind of food they serve in the navy, SIGN ME UP! Trendy tapas bar in the centre of Wollongong. Love to come to this place where the staff are always accomodating and extremely friendly, the choice of food is outstanding and they have a great range of craft beer. The bar staff are knowledgable and the live music gives this cool little joint an awesome vibe. Hot tip grab yourself a glass of the shiraz gin and the salt and pepper calamari"

"Dinner at the Char Char Bar & Grill was nothing short of delightful. Food was flavoursome, (meat oh so tender) and the service was attentive, but not overwhelming. The menu provides lots of options but probably not so many for vegetarians - this is a steak place and they do it superbly!There is also an amusing little list of cocktails. The "Gong Girl" is a particularly easy-to-drink one, but beware the punch it packs!Great place with great food, atmosphere and service. We didn't book but it would be worth checking before you roll up. Highly recommend!!"
