"We found this self service just before we were going to leave Paris. It is really good with good sized meals and at a good price. We got a meal and everything is just under ten euro. It is self service with no frills but...it is very popular. You can get wine, main meals,deserts etc. You have to walk in past the takeaway lunch bar to get to the restaurant behind."

"We had dinner with friends and took the Tapas and as a desert the Tapioca. The taste wasn’t really good, we just thought we should never come back and we got sick all night long. Or it was not fresh or re-frozen. Nous avons pris...les Tapas et les perles de Tapioca, le goût n’etait pas terrible. Nous nous sommes juste dit que nous ne reviendrions pas mais nous avons été malade comme des chiens toute la nuit. Soit ce n’était pas frais soit re-congelé: quoiqu’il en soit la qualité n’est pas au rdv."

"This cafe occupies a choice location in the Tuileries Garden yet does not appear interested in using it properly.I sat at a quiet table in the shade towards the back of the place but the waitress refused to serve me there contending it was a closed area.This meant that around a third of the tables were effectively closed.The manager informed me that he understood that the table I was sitting at was attractive but,if he made an exception for me ,everyone would love to sit there and they had spent the whole day refusing to serve people there.So it appears that they had deliberately closed off a large and attractive section of the place.They then explained that the waitress serving that section was 60 years old and about to retire in two months,she was the one that could not go an extra ten yards to my table and she was doing as she pleased.Also they were short handed in personnel.Altogether a sad experience in French inefficiency and arrogance.It should not happen in a prestigious setting like the Tuileries."

"A unassuming Indian restaurant in a small alley from Rue de Rivoli and near Citadines Les Halles. We were staying at the Citadines and were a frequent visitor during our short stay. In my experience most Indian restaurants abroad build their brand by offering heavily...spiced and oily dishes and thus showcasing Indian food as such. But good Indian cooks know the right proportions of spices to add and as a result, it is never the case that any one of the spices overpower others but all the spices blend to give a unique taste. This is one of the few restaurants which serves such truly good quality dishes. Caveat: being a vegetarian, I speak only about the vegetarian dishes. The owner and the Chefs are as unassuming as the restaurant quite likely that it is the nature of the Chefs and the owners is reflected in the food and decor. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for good Indian restaurant in the Les Halles area."

"Walking and walking you will find some places where you eat very economical, quality and survive the face visit to Paris. This is one of those locals.I have ordered traditional pasta to carbonara with crispy onion and sesame (two extra ingredients could be chosen) and mozarella cheese, drink and dessert for 7€... yes, 7€!! must find these places not to be ruined."

"We have eaten at Mezzo di Pasta's all over France and love them. It is a great place to grab a decent meal fast and let you get onto your way of running around and doing what you want to do instead of waiting for...food. The service is always fast and friendly. You go in and pick the pasta and sauce you want and they put it into a little Chinese container so you can eat it there or take it away to one of the many great parks. This location is near Les Halles and Eglise Saint Eustache. I would love for them to have this in the States!!!"

"I took my family for diner at gemini. the pizzas were delicious, soft inside with crispy crust! the cook came to our table and discussed his cooking techniques, it was nice. the mousse au chocolat for dessert was perfect. You better get hungry because I got out!"
