"Simply put its great. Welcoming to cyclists and everyone else. Good for sitting inside or out, no pretentions just very pleasant. Most of all though its the owner, and her staff that make it so special. Nothing is too much trouble, they are friendly and efficient and know what they are doing. The cakes are exceptional and the whole thing is sensibly priced. You won't be surprised to learn that I visit regularly and am pleased to sing its praises."

"If you love vegan plant based meals, this place is a must! I have been about 10 times to this cafe and everything I have ordered is absolutely delicious! Lovely location too if you're sightseeing or shopping in Hitchin. Nice touch that they allow dogs too. Thanks Chia!"

"When Waitrose introduced their loyalty card and started offering free newspapers with a small shop and giving away a hot drink as well, their Café became very popular and I was a regular visitor. I still visit occasionally but, as with so many things, the...novelty of a bargain wears off in time. I still think the coffee is good and the quality of the pastries is excellent too. In the past, I have had the odd meal normally a toasted sandwich and I've never found there to be any excessive delay in getting my food. There is often a wait for coffee to be prepared. That is the modern world! The coffee is made fresh while you wait and it isn't always a fast job. Just look at the speed the coffee comes out of the machine when you visit any of these modern coffee shops! Waitrose is known for offering good quality and good service and I can't say I've ever had reason to complain. Maybe I'll test it out again in more detail over the coming days."
