"A member of my family told us that the food on their last visit wasn't too good, but we decided to try today. A starter of prawn and calamari was partly inedible, the beans were undercooked and the calamari rubbery. A main course of mussels...had a tasteless sauce and another main course of prawn gamblers had a watery sauce. I don't know what has happened to this restaurant as in the past it was always good food and good value. Either more training or a change of chef is needed. Currently would not go back."

"Recently visited, a wonderful bakery with all the freshly made bake goods you would want plus suburb service and the food was delicious, especially the sausage rolls! There also was so many cakes, nearly to many to choose from! : not good for my 2020 diet hehe Would highly recommend if you are passing through this wee town."

"We went to PYO plums and found this cafe at the back of the farm shop. The property isn't well signposted, but once on Pork Lane, you can't miss it as it's on a sharp bend. The car park was almost full when we arrived...and cars were parked, blocking access to the caravan storage to the rear. The PYO plums were great we recommend Czar and Reeves varieties much better than anything form a supermarket. The cafe offers a good range of cakes, many made using ingredients grown on the farm. the area is light and airy. The strawberry tart was great, as was the spicy carrot cake. They also make light lunches, such as paninis. Service was very prompt and the staff were very friendly. A great bargain at for cakes, a coffee and a pot of tea it was nice to get a pot of hot water for the tea that most done bother with. I wish that we lived closer!"

"Oh dear oh dear, I’ve just read the reviews and I wish I had read them before eating there again. Last time was a month ago and I went with family and was shocked that all of our dinners were covered in chopped parsley, our...son has autism and sensory issues and wouldn’t touch the fish and chips covered in green stuff. My husbands dinner and mine were fairly good. We went back today and although my husband eats anything, I sadly can’t. I have Crohn’s disease and need to be careful what I eat. I chose cheese and ham panini, I can’t eat the side salad but that’s not their fault, I’m just not allowed fibre. The panini tasted strange, kind of vinegary, then I looked inside and the ham was grey, awful stale grey where meat gets that vinegary taste. So I discarded the ham and ate a few mouthfuls of cheese panini that I was left with. Hardly a meal!! This meal was also ruined by a dog yappy barking in the centre of the restaurant, we go out to get away from our neighbours yappy dog and had to put up with it whilst dining out as well. Wasn’t impressed at all. I’m now feeling quite ill, just been sick and have stomach cramps. I shall not be eating there again sadly. I hope they read the reviews and do something about it."
