"Food style and presentation deserves all stars, very local west coast style and the raspberry lemonade was ridiculously good. Flavors could be stronger, I feel that might be because not everyone in the area can deal with the spice. Great staff andattentive wait staff."

"Food and service were amazing! Their food tasted so authentic! Orders were good portions for price! Atmosphere was a bit too tepid. Maybe a little ambiance music could pick it up some, and then it would get a 5 for sure!Food: 5/5"

"I first heard from Cambinos Asian BBQ when it showed as an outing on my dining room calendar. Even though it was in OC, only the thought of Asian BBQ was enough to get me in my car for a ride across LA County limits, especially as I had such a wonderful experience with Parks Finest BBQ. By the way, owner James Sar, is Cambodian, but named his restaurant Cambinos after his former Filipino-ambodian basketball team that used to play around Orange County. While the name of the restaurant seems to show that the BBQ served there is a fusion of Cambodia and Filipino cuisine, James’ friend who manages the restaurant at the time of our visit, said that the purpose of Cambinos is easy to use home-style BBQ with general Asian influences and not necessarily specific to any country. We were also told that a different BBQ sauce was developed for each of the different meat types on the menu. To get a broad idea of BBQ, our group has decided to share several plates of their mixed plate. This mixed dish consisted of steamed rice, grilled vegetables, chicken and pork berries, chicken legs, bovine spruce and peeled pork ribs. Usually at $9.95, you can get it for $7.95 on Saturday. The first thing I tried was the Boneless Chicken thighs marinated in a house mix of spices and hoisin sauce. Unfortunately, the marinade was a bit too sweet for my palate, so it wasn't a hit with me. Next followed the Beef Short Ribs, which was marinated in a soy-based sauce with ginger. That was just a good dish for me. It needed more ginger. Then I took a bite from the Pork Spare Ribs, which was marinated with a mixture of lemon and lime juices along with garlic and other spices, and I was completely woven. At first the meat was tender and fell practically from the bone. Secondly, I enjoyed the tender and slightly vinegarian taste of the meat itself. These ribs are definitely a must order. As far as the spits are concerned, I did not know that there were actually two different spits on the plate, which meant that I could not taste the chicken kewer. I tried the Pork Skewer with a special marinade mixture of spices, brown sugar and ginger and I found it absolutely delicious. It reminded me of Filipino BBQ, who is actually always on skewers. The grilled Cornish Hens with a pineapple glacier on the menu have awakened our interest so that we have also given an order. I'm so glad we did it. Besides the Pork Ribs, these chickens are a must. The chicken meat was tender and juicy with delicious tropical flavors. For dessert, we also checked their simply called Yellow Cake. A small cake that was moist and had a light sugar glaze that made it even more attractive. Overall, I really enjoyed my Cambinos. While there were some things I could go over, everything else was really stellar. So much, I plan to bring my sorted family members there for a meal. If you happen to be in the area of cypress, check it for yourself and go for these ribs. Yum!"
