"Great location on the waterfront, outdoor seating undercover. Creative dinner menu with high number of seafood dishes, all four of us were impressed with our meals, which were sensible sizes, quality over quantity. The wine and beer prices are very reasonable and good to see local beer and wine on the list. Attentive staff and timing of our feed spot on, I'd come back anytime."

"Brilliant clean-up of the place by the new owners last year, unfortunately they left the pokies bar. They take up space and remove the social aspect of a great bar. Nice courtyard out the back. Just a regular sports bar but tiny due tot he pool table and pokies room."

"My partner I were quite shocked at the quality of our meals. We are loyal customers of Breakers nationwide, so we know our order before we walk through the doors. Disappointed as we didn't bother to touch the beef schnitzel meal, and the creamy mussels tasted like they were cooked in a microwave. The fries and fish were over cooked and the only decent meal were the nachos. A real let down as a first visit to Gisborne. I hope it improves."
