The food is absolutely amazing everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in this restaurant . "Maharajas is my favourite Curry place in Lower Hutt, the only time I will ever go anywhere else is on a Monday when they are closed and even then it usually isn't worth it because this place sets the bar so high. I order takeaway from there most week and the chicken is always tender and the sauce (med kiwi hot) always flavourful and consistent week to week which is a rare find for indian takeaway. The staff are always friendly and even better they deliver for a very reasonable fee !"

"Food here is a bit more expensive than other Indian restaurants, but so far I really loved all the food that I tried so far except for the raita which seemed a bit sweet for me. I’ve tried garlic naan, beef madras, chicken sawadee and butter chicken. I am keen to try other food from their menu so will definitely order again from them."

"This is a nice indian restaurant with a twist. I like to outdoor seating..the place is painted with vibrant colour. <br/ <br/ The staff n probably the manager is friendly and very pleasant to talk to. <br/ <br/ The food is good and the fish curry is great!! <br/ <br/ Good for group of 4 to 6 people. <br/ <br/ The price is very reasonable. I really like this place n will come again."

"Definitely worth a visit to try something new. The chef is doing a really good job. The other staff seemed a bit indifferent in my opinion. I believe some friendly touch/attention would make it a 5 star experience for me. Otherwise, the atmosphere is very nice, thanks for the effort to make it look lovely and cozy."

"Arrived in Timaru today for a 3-day vacation. This restaurant was close to my motel so I had my dinner here. Steak was okay, average at best. The salad that came with the steak was pathetic. Although everything else is still okay! I enjoyed my food and the beer!"
