"This has been there for years but we have never been. I am glad we finally decided to go. Its a very basic decorated restaurant on parkers piece in cambridge but we sat on a hot summers evening with the doors open on to the grass. The staff were attentive and friendky and even gave us a bottle of fizz on the house as it was a special occasion. Food was fabulous and we all had a mixture of the menu and everything tasted great ! I will definately be going again and recommend it to others. ! They even do takeaway and delivery ."

"I really like visiting the Red Lion when in the area, it’s my second visit and we drove from Nottingham for the day especially to visit Grantchester. The food at the Red Lion and the service is really good. On this occasion I did notice a few minor points which made it look a star in my review. The enamel serving wear they used is really past it’s best, it’s chipped and the coating has come off revealing metal? underneath, those dishes should be thrown away as it’s unappealing visually and ut makes me nervous as to how clean the dish can be when it’s corroded. The toilets especially the walls have cobwebs and spiders yes a country side pub will have bugs but these had been there for a while. I’m not a massive fan of spiders so perhaps I was more aware but a hoover would have been able to reach the walls and corners. It was a warm day and the doors were open which was lovely, the pub is in a gorgeous location, but it meant we were pestered by a very irritating fly or three, when you are eating it’s a bit unpleasant to be constantly swatting away flies who are tying to sit on your food. I’m not saying that it’s the pub’s fault but the food isn’t cheap and I doubt many people would want to eat food that flies had been landing on."

"Next comes the parade of the Sushi dishes, served with obligatory washabi and ingwer in a small bowl. I can never resist the temaki, this is a conical hand roll with nori (seaweed) wrapped around rice and a selection of fillings. we especially like the salmon and thunfish at japas so we usually choose this plus a nice as avocado or gurke. this time we had the salmon avocado temaki and spicy tuna cucumber temaki. the nori is always fresh and crisp, not so tender."

"What a great authentic place that is! We love eating here at noon, the service is always with a smile and they really do their best to be fast and efficient even in busy times. Very recommended if you are in the Grafton area and are fed with the usual chains that give you so food for the same price (what you see in my pictures costs less than 19£ and fed two adult people)."

"They were happy to accept an order via deliveroo and then tell them it had been delivered when it clearly was never going to be prepared by them on the bank holiday. Wasted an hour sorting this mess out and getting a refund. An ok restaurant to visit in person but avoid ordering from them online."

"I wanted to love this place, it has such a beautiful frontage, great reviews, and I enjoy Vietnamese eating. the experience was mixed however. most of the seats are cellar, low-boiling and irradiated in an old building, but bright-feeling over all-white color and linen, fairy light and tables not too crowded. unfortunate hard chairs. many plastic plants give an Asian restaurant of the old school. the food was generally well made when we did not start especially enjoyed the rice pancakes filled with bon sprouts and the avocado ice cream. feed 6-7 and desserts, ~15 haupts). my main handle was service. powerful to the point of the cure. Nothing I usually complain about, except that I was brought the wrong main course. after a few mundfuls I worked this out of the taro/okra coconut curry, not the mock duck/bamboo shoot one. No one came back to check us, my partner was happy, so finally I just ate it. the plates were thrown away later, again without querying if it was okay, so it wasn't until the dessert order that I could cancel it. the waitress just insisted that I was wrong. you had ordered 32, but I got 33', I said helpless. she got the ordering look, 32! it came with rice not noodle as if the wrong side order proved its point. with the plates that are already gone, I could not point to the telltal of okra. she laughed and just went away. no excuse. it has left an acidic taste, and not because I don't have much like the taste of okra."

"One of the best steak sandwiches I’ve had ! Soft tender bread that doesn’t cut the mouth and perfectly cook steak with that heavenly sauce, ask for it! Wish I can get the recipe! Fish sandwich is really good too. Wish to come back for a full lunch/dinner as we got the lunch meal. Lovely by the river ambiance."
