"I love French and French-inspired food, and found a great place to try a short walk down the street and across a river from my hotel. I went up the stairs and was promptly seated by the window by a very friendly gentleman, who was also my waiter. The place has a great, comfortable, casual, yet cool feel, with indie music playing in the background (my favorite!). Looking outside, I saw that they also had al fresco seating, which also would have been great, since the temps were in the mid-20s C (mid-70s F). I asked for a white wine recommendation, and was given a sample before committing (always nice!), and then asked the waiter for recommendations, as I saw 3 duck-related options that all looked awesome. Since I wasn't tremendously hungry, he recommended the Foie Gras Poutine. This wasn't your normal poutine. The fries are fried in duck fat, cheese curds are added, it's topped with duck gravy, and then foie gras is placed on the very top. Every bite was so divine! I am dreaming of eating this meal as I type. So incredibly good!For dessert, I selected the Rhubarb Crumble with Crème Fraîche from off the chalkboard. It was perfect - the rhubarb tasted very fresh, not too sweet, and the crumble crisp - the perfect way to end a meal. Highly recommend!"

"I went with some co-workers for brunch at Windsor Rose. We were not let down with the selection or the food. Service was quick and the food was enjoyable. I will definitely return, possibly in the evening to try other options"

"This little pub has great Atmosphere and is an awesome place to spend some time with friends. I especially like the Patio in the summer time, it is like your own backyard but better! The drinks are cheap, considering their pints are a Real 20oz pint (not 18 or 16 like most other places) Love their Shepherds Pie, and their poutines are awesome with their home made fries. I recommend you try out the Dog and Duck Pub!"

"Much Improved. A few years ago we used to go to Fionn's a lot after work but with the growth of the gastropub in Calgary we stopped our Fionn's journeys because the food was atrocious compared to the new alternatives. Great for a pint and not much else.<br/ <br/ Well, I am not sure when the change happened but if you haven't been to Fionn's in some time I can tell you that they have transformed the menu and it is much, much better. They've incorporated a bit of gastopub flair but, mostly, it's good, solid pub food. My last lunch was a stacked Reuben with fries, which wasn't deli quality but was above average. The fish and chips is also quite good and the boxties are solid, simple, homey comfort food.<br/ <br/ Beer selection is decent and service has never been an issue at the Eau Claire spot. Would definitely recommend if you haven't been in awhile and it is going back on our lunch and after work drinks rotation. 3/5."
