"We have known the pond mill for over 20 years. The furnishings and the ambience have always been rustic and therefore extremely delightful. There is no large guest room (with the exception of the room), but one sits distributed at tables that have found space where the mill originally had been. Parts of the old furnishings are still present and lovingly worked up. Unfortunately, there is no longer the old water wheel. The kitchen and the associated quality of food have experienced a changeable history in recent years. The dishes were never really bad, but not so delicious that we would like and often come in. Following a family invitation, we ate once again in the pond mill on 11.09.2022 and are right to say: The food hasn't been that good for a long time. Super fresh salad, crispy, not too hard pumice, juicy meat and fresh vegetables. All this tasty, enough much and at a price that is rarely found today.The waiting time was justifiable with just about 45 minutes.In summary, the pond mill is a clear recommendation for all people who like rustic ambience, looking for good bourgeois cuisine at fair prices and bring some time."

"Also im Grunde kann man hier vernünftig gut bürgerlich essen - wir hatten Steaks, die gut gebraten wie gewünscht waren. Einzig das Steak Surf und Turf war nicht optimal. Das Fleisch war gut, aber zwei kleine Scampis für 5 € Mehrpreis veredeln das Steak nicht. Da ist man mit dem normalen Rumpsteak besser bedient. Der Service war freundlich und flott.Die Karte erscheint mir viel zu groß und vielleicht der Grund für die sehr unterschiedlichen Bewertungen bei TripAdvisor- ich empfehle, die Hälfte der Gerichte zu streichen, dann wird das Qualitäts-Niveau stabilisiert.Uns hat es jedenfalls heute geschmeckt und wir werden auch wieder kommen!"

"The gasthof to the cross lies outside the common st. between the durner and the cold hostel up to about 1000 m above sea level, a little set back on the b 500. the gasthof, which is operated in the third generation, has been renovated a few years ago and is now in a stylish ambiente. in the dining room and in the next room they sit very cozy and can enjoy the localities and dishes of the season as well as the well maintained Baden-Württemberg weine. the great gastronomy is still decorated by a beautiful tile stove; almost turns into a living room. the foods are extremely tasty and on request they also receive semi-portions. the house is also ideal for family celebrations of all kinds, for business trips and annual celebrations. in summer they can also relax on a small summer terrace and enjoy nature and drink. the gasthof also has 15 stylishly furnished foreign rooms and in the next building he has holiday apartments. the price-performance ratio is consistent. centrally located in the south black forest, the house is also suitable for day trips to the nearer and more environment; in winter also for skiing. the house is very family friendly guided"
