"This place is closing down soon, which is a real shame. The music was great the band were really enjoying themselves and that's always a good sign of a fun evening. It's a fairly big venue, but it was full on this occasion, which made for a great atmosphere. Entry was good value, and the bar had a good selection."

"This was a good place for a pub lunch on a cold october day. the pub itself is old-fashioned and cozy, with many screens to enjoy in every sport under the sun. the food is delicious, and the price my carving. was enormous, and the portions of sweet and masque were more than generous. I wouldn't say this place is better than any other pub out there, but it's good for a casual lunch."

"We had high hopes after the restaurant changed hands. Garry Prebble the previous owner had lost interest in the food service it seemed and was increasingly not a people person. Enter Nick Stone. He is just not a Redfern person. He immediately hiked the prices in this neighbourhood it's most unwelcome. $40 for a main is criminal. Nick is a hospo guy. The tatts and the style is not French and not Redfern. I've heard from neighbours he is not easy to deal with either. The food is not quite french. It's a hodge podge of loosely based themed stuff. It's not regional or faithful to any identifiable Gallic culinary tradition. Overall another same samey place trading on a romantic concept."
