"Worst experience I’ve had in years! The owner was extremely rude when we arrived, told us there was a wait— and then rushed us after we ordered drinks at the bar. The kitchen was unwilling or unable to tell our server where the salmon was from, or if it was farmed. It took over 10 minutes for our server to approach the table, and when I tried to ask the owner if there was anything not in print, on the menu, he was rude and dismissive— again. The server referred to me as “Sir”, when I am obviously a woman— and then tried to make unrequested suggestions regarding wine (I am a Sommelier by profession. The wine list is not current, and the bottle I ordered was unavailable, so he brought a more expensive bottle that was not on the List. The food is extremely expensive for the quality and tapas portions. The quality is mediocre at best, and no telling where any of it comes from. All of our food arrived cold— including the patatas bravas. I never write reviews, and generally if I’m unhappy with an experience, I bring it to the attention of management at the time— but they were so rude the entire time, there was no point. If you enjoy mediocre food, served at room temperature, and being made to feel like an inconvenience, and spending plenty of money, this is the place to go. Otherwise go somewhere else."

"I've been fortunate enough to be from one of the cities in North America known for its sushi restaurants, Vancouver BC. Having traveled back and forth along the West Coast and being a new transplant to the Sacramento area. The most well known sushi restaurant in the Sactown area is Bento Box. I have to tell you all that you've been wasting your time.If you want some legit sushi do take the time to go or order from Oba Japanese Kitchen as I did.The restaurant has never been too busy the times I've been there so my opinions on the atmosphere may be disregarded.When it comes to the food, in my opinion. It has been the best sushi rolls I've had in Sacramento .Unlike many places in Sacramento they seem to know how to actually roll a roll.It was a little pricey from what I'm used to but then again inflation has been going at a higher rate than our paycheques.Definitely if you have the time and have the funds I recommend this place.?"

"Cynthia Neil were fantastic! I felt welcome immediately when I arrived. Being on a business trip, it felt like a wine tour without having to travel outside of the city to get it. They shared a lot of info about their local wine. Absolutely stellar wine flight with their mixed board!"
