"Very nice traditional interior. Good menu and the food is great. Wiener schnitzel is lovely and the portion very large. The pork tenderloin kebab is enormous and will probably defeat most diners with the accompanying rice and vegetables. Prices are very reasonable for both food and drinks. The waiter who served us was excellent with a good sense of humour, unusual for a Viennese waiter."

"We got a very nice table next to the bar with a nice view on the street. Staff was efficient, competent and so friendly! We found the menu somehow short. Food was good. The rosé prosecco excellent! Surprisingly people were aloud to smoke starting from...21:30. We did not move to the non-smoking room. The tables there stay very close to each other and it was very noisy. All in all a very nice experience"

"We stumbled on pepis by chance. what a sound! it became our local while in the opposite they serve wonderful Austrian wein and beer. this is not known to tourists, and everyone was very friendly and helpful to explain how the buffet worked. there are smokers...and non-smoking zones and an outside garden with benches. if they want food, they approach the counter and point to the various decisions. there is a hot buffet with black pudding brat, fry a type of ham / eggy Ommlette-Ding and sour wort. on the cold buffet there are salads, cheese, ham, pates and cakes. eating is nicely freshly cooked and the crunchy on the pork is wonderful. they pay by weight and pay as they go. eating and beer/wine are very reasonable. they can reach this place by taking the subway to the end of the line in ottakringer and then a walk of about 5 minutes it will be there."

"Absolutely outstanding restaurant. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, the 3 ladies I spoke to all spoke several languages extremely competently. I arrived just before they opened and they were hand-writing the menu, I love that level of detail and dedication. Onto the food, all I can say is wow. The schnitzel was amazing, the pints of Austrian lager were special too. The potato salad was the best I've ever had. I've eaten in restaurants all over the world and this place is right up there amongst the best I've ever been to. If I could rate it higher, I would. 10/10 in every department. Special mention for the lady from Germany and the lady from Belgium, thanks for being so hospitable and I wish you both all the best. Thanks, Peter from Diablo Seasonings"

"We've been with family for a brunch on Sunday and we're seated in the garden. The atmosphere is nice. It was a sunny warm day and it was really pleasant and relaxing to sit in the garden. Although the style of the cafe inside was also great and I am sure it would be great to sit there on a colder day as well. The waitresses were friendly and the service was quite fast. We took 2 breakfasts and all tasted nice. But the amount of food offered for the price is too less especially that the cafe located in 15th district. For more than 9 eur it was a joghurt with a bit of granola, standard portion of jam and three pieces of ham with a spoon of soft cheese on ruccola and tiny pieces of pear and strawberries. In addition three small pieces of baguette and only one piece of eye bread. Coffee you need to buy additionally to the breakfast. The same prices are in the cafes in the center of Vienna and you can even find a better variation of breakfast on the plate."

"This is a stylish but comfortable restaurant, full of character and as the oldest guest house in Wien (from 1447). it has a great atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff and an inconspicuous Zither player. there is a good choice of good and reasonable...prices for a quality restaurant in a capital city. it is a popular place and therefore advisable to maintain."
