"There is too much to say about this dinning experience then this page can hold. The food was wonderful, the service was outstanding. I took my wife here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, the staff went out of their way to provide a wonderful evening of conversation and food. The Pastry Chef even provided us with a treat of Key Lime pie, a dessert that we shared on our wedding night. Thank you to the Staff for this memorable evening."

"This was a delicious meal prepared by a chef who desires to use the freshest ingredients (which always taste better) and creates a seasonal menu. Our server couldn’t have been better, she explained the dishes to us, let us take our time, and gave good advice on selections. She met our needs but did not “over-hover”. She offered things but did not oversell. The restaurant is quieter but filled so you can hear each other but doesn’t feel deserted. The only reason I gave it one less star for atmosphere is because it’s a little rustic but location close to major roads is a plus also. Can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu."

"The former owners divorced, so the chef is now upstairs at Aviation. The new Spanish tapas focus is uneven, some very well executed and others bland and unfocused. The fries are still great. Still among the best cocktails in Livermore but not absolutely top tier like before. Service is not quick but the speakeasy feel means you are probably here with people you want to spend plenty of time with. I hope things tighten up to their former glory. Previously: If you were taken blindfolded into the dim, Edison-bulb interior of Last Word, you could be forgiven for thinking you were in one of the many craft cocktail bars of San Francisco. The cocktail menu is constantly changing (thank goodness they can still make previous favorites like the Cowboy Cosmo) and there is something interesting for everybody, unless what you really want is a cheap drink. Glassware and ice are impeccable. I'm always pleased with the food, which typically feature comfort food given just enough of a twist to make it distinctive. The burger, in particular, is elevated far above fast food, with a loose grind, delicate golden-brown bun, and topped with house-pickled onions and blue cheese. The menu, overall, is much tastier than it needs to be given the quality of the cocktails. It's not cheap, and the service is slow by most standards, especially as they get full, but the product on offer is meant to be savored."

"Was there last weekend with booking in advance. Was not impressed at all with the new ownership. The waitress made it look like it was hard to get there and offered the worst seats till we insisted on a better choice...and there were so many empty seats available which were not even filled in at all while we stayed there for several hours, almost till the closing time. The rye bread in the menu was not really a rye bread and the pickled cucumbers were awful, sweet... not typical either for the Russian cuisine. For the rest of the food orders we had to wait indefinitely; the waiter simply forgot about us. It was entertaining to watch an acrobat and the guy playing with fire but the choice of music was distasteful.. mostly rap.. that did not compliment the performers at all and stayed very much the same trough the entire evening.It is not all... The ladies' rest room was very dirty, with no toilet paper and paper towels. The owner was present at the bar that evening but she preferred to chat with her acquaintances instead of taking care of business.We definitely won't be back till the ownership changes and hopefully it happens soon."
