"First visit today. I was a big fan of The Socialist Pig, but I have to say the food at Laverne's is even better (and more creative) than it was at TSP, and it was darn good there! Chef Ray in all his glory has been unleashed on Eastern Ontario. It's well worth our 30-minute drive from Wellesley Island. My wife and I look forward to many happy return visits!"

"We attempt to visit Gananoque annually and look forward to visiting Riva as part of our getaway. Our visit this year was an early dinner prior to our attending a production at the 1000 Island playhouse. Riva continues to provide a most memorable dining experience. At this visit, we ordered a crusted salmon and a linguini prawn dish. Both were outstanding! The service and staff were excellent. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner without being rushed and had plenty of time to walk to the playhouse for the evening presentation. We have visited Riva on previous occasions and find it remains an idea restaurant for a special dining experience. Highly recommended."
