"Lovely, friendly restaurant!! My first expiernce at rustico with the family, will be returning again soon. I rang prior to our booking as I can only eat gluten free meals. The manager was very helpful over the phone and took the time to attend to...my every need. Lovely atmosphere, greeted as soon as we got to the front door, smiles all around. Waitresses were very kind and friendly and one even gave my children colouring pencils, to keep them busy while we waited for our food. We look forward to coming back to rustico, thank you. "

"We have been using the Kingfisher every time we visit Hastings so it has become a very nice ritual over the past years. The fish and chips is always excellent, the fish I believe locally sourced and the food is always top notch. The...Kingfisher is very popular so there is a wait of about or mins max before you are served. It is well worth the wait! The food is always perfectly cooked, and the service is always fantastic. There is a very varied menu to choose from, and all in all the restaurant's popularity with visitors and locals seems obvious and well deserved. Always a great experience. Recommend!"

"We were stunned at the quality of our meals. Smoked haddock pie with a luscious mashed potato superb. So fresh and full of fish, egg and generous in size for one. I chose vegetables and salsa verde with it. Served piping hot by really pleasant and accommodating staff, our other order was the days special of a lamb madras pie with puff pastry. Crisp pastry, packed with meat and bursting with flavour. Accompanied by the crispest of chips and a brown onion gravy with our choice of cheesy leeks. All good is truly home made. How refreshing to get vegetables and real home style food these days!!!!!! Thank you. Service and attention to detail top notch!!"

"We came here for lunch and dinner on different days. Sadly they were out of scrambled tofu but we had good avo on toast no porky bun. Also came for Dirty Vegan night (in Fridays saturdays). Recommend the banana flower fish comes with v good tartare sauce and mushy peas. Good kimchi fries and chickn wings. Nice cocktails. Nice place full of succulent plants! Everything lively but not amazing."

"I love this little place on the seafront. A Warm welcome come rain or shine. I use this place as much as possible even if it is just to stop off for a latte lol. The food is delicious and at great prices too. Nice...meal deals as well. Keep up the good work Darren."

"My friend had roast turkey and all trimmings and i went for the daily special of roast lamb. When I ordered the lady said we don't do roast lamb then I pointed to the board another colleague helped her put it in the till I guess as it wasn't a usual option. The meal came and I asked for some mint sauce to which they said il ask in the kitchen .. no one came back so my friend asked someone else to which the answer was no we don't have any. I thought that's odd considering you sell every sauce and jar under the sun so I left my meal to get cold and ventured off into the shop to buy my own mint sauce at a heft 3 and half quid on top of my 16 pound lamb. It was a long way back to the till the lady on the till said its ridiculous there's no mint sauce offered with the lamb the staff should of come and got some. I paid for my mint sauce went all the way round to come back in got back to my table my friend was almost finished mine was now stone cold and the lamb very chewy overcooked made worse by going cold. Wasn't the best wish id just had a sandwich to save the drama!"
