"Sat outside in the courtyard and service was really slow. I ordered a side of Rye toast so that I could have it with my eggs (should already come with eggs but anyway) it took them agessss to bring out one piece of toast, by this point my food was already cold to enjoy it with toast. Long story short, they charged me $7 for one thin piece of rye bread. $7!!!!!! That is an absolute joke and I’m not happy jan. Daylight robbery at its finest. Their excuse for the toast taking long to come out was that they were busy... it wasn’t even busy and how long does it really take to toast some bread?!"

"Malvern East needed a little cafe in this part of the neighbourhood. Loved my chicken risotto, Shiraz and real peppermint tea not made with a tea bag! Staff were friendly and cafe had perfect heating for a freezing cold Winter's day."

"This restaurant is one of our locals, and is always fabulous. The food is very fresh and ingredients are good quality. You can also get take away here, which is handy as the restaurant is quite small and is always busy. You can BYO or they have a selection of wine and beer on the menu."

"Loved my experience at Tonic and Grace! I ordered a smashacado for myself and kids pancakes with maple syrup for my daughter. Fair to say, we ate the WHOLE lot and will be back for more on our next visit to Melbourne! The staff were super helpful, especially with having an active toddler in tow! And our coffee was delish Thank you all"

"We were served the worst pizza I have ever seen in my 40 years in Melbourne. The toppings were burnt to a crisp (both pizzas) till unrecognisable ... and of course inedible ! This venue was where LIVINGROOM used to be, and that was without a shadow of doubt, one of the best restaurant (Top 3 material) we have eaten in Melbourne. This put a sour note to the venue. Nothing more to say - the pictures tell the whole story. It's like someone forgot the pizzas were in the oven, but they still served then to us when they eventually took them out !!"
