"The food was delicious and the service was absolutely wonderful. Our waiter was so friendly and took the time to explain the dishes to us as it was our first time and showed us the traditional way they eat it. We had the sambosas and peppers as the starters and for mains the chicken, lamb with collard greens, yellow lentils and beetroot dish which were all very tasty. My favourite was the creamy lentils paired with the Injera flat bread. The bread was soft and tender and was slightly tangy. The honey wine was also sweet and delicious pairing to go with the meal. Would definitely go again and try their other platters!"

"I have eaten at Narai Thai literally dozens of times over the decades. It was one of the first Northcote/Thornbury haunts that wasn't a pub, and it effectively set the standard for the area. On a recent visit we agreed that we had never had a bad meal here. Yes, the service can vary, but the food is always good and as it's still BYO, an evening here is good value.The night we were there consisted of two big tables - a hen's night and a birthday group. Although it was noisy, we still had our order taken and received our meal in acceptable timeframes. We had the curry puffs and the prawns wrapped n spring roll wrappers to start. Both were great. As was our pad thai with prawn and a yellow beef curry. This is a local worth going back for."

"Have been here before & loved it but this time around a little disappointed with my meal .Ordered the Pad Thai with beef , the beef tasted like a cheap cut and it was overcooked , the rest of the group liked but didn't love their meals but in saying that the service was really good ,the decor is lovely & the menu had a good variety of dishes .I think this place is worth a try as l did enjoy it first time around just not on this Occassion ."

"The owner is an interesting eclectic gentleman that is committed to giving quality gluten free organic ethical food, and for his entrees and mains he succeeded. We found his quesodillas and tacos to be an interesting blend of authentic and modern, and definitely delicious. And there is just enough tumeric to definitely define it as Mexican. Loved the tortillas - great texture, soft, and able to be consumed with either knife and fork (like my partner) or by hand (like me). The check of a good tortilla is the ability to hold its shape and not leak - these held their shape and did not leak. Entrees and mains are top notchDesserts, on the other hand, well ... this place used to be Coco Loco, and you can see the influence. If you are not a fan of chocolate, or want something that is not chocolate for dessert, bad luck.Will definitely return."

"Red door is a super sweet little cafe I loved when I eat gluten, but fortunately a decent selection of gluten-free options happens! While many of the gluten-free options consist of removing bread from the options (not ideal) they have gluten-free bread you can use with their eggs on toast or sandwiches (which are both very beautiful). My order is her eggs Benedict on a potato rust, with pulled pork that can make them contamination-free. There are also a handful of other GF options that I did not try, but assume are also really nice! So if you want to find a large gluten-free brunch spot, this is the place!"
