"This is our go to restaurant. Great food that is always consistent (the tortellini with a Gorgonzola sauce is amazing, the steak is always tender and cooked just right) , good wine list, good service. The decor is modern with an open concept bistro style layout. You would think that it gets noisy but it doesn't. Free parking."

"We love this place! Food and service are great. The place is always packed. Portions are huge so we usually end up taking home a doggy bag. Great spot tucked away in a strip mall in Barrhaven. Try it, you'll love it!"

"My kids and I have found our pizza place when we go to Ottawa.The 1st time we ordered from here, my youngest son said he wasn't too but then he had 2 1/2 slices (finally saving a little for me - lol)The pizza at Georgie's is simply DELICIOUS!There's no more going to the "chains" when we order. Doesn't matter where we stay, I'll make the drive to Georgie's just because it's THAT GOOD.Their chicken wings are fabulous and we always get a pound or 2 with the pizza that's ordered."

"My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant last anniversary. Since then we’ve gone back. I can’t eat a lot of places due to being celiac but their food is amazing. They make fresh pasta that’s even gluten free just like they make their regular noodles. It’s fabulous. Never had a bad experience and everyone is always super nice"

"Just had dinner there with my hubby. Lovely patio by the water and watched the kayakers and boaters. Other then the friendly service that's all I can say that's good about the canal Ritz. I don't appreciate 1.5 inches of foam on my beer, that's a short pour and a Rip off. The basket of buns that arrived were cold and the dough was spongy and not baked enough, we couldn't eat them, and neither were other diners I noticed. I ordered the Caesar salad, lightly tossed with some extra dressing on the side, and lemon slices. The salad was ok, the chicken on top adequate, but even with extra salt and pepper and the lemon, I could not detect any real flavour from the dressing, bland!! Definately from a big plastic jug, not home made. Hubby had the pasta special, when I asked him how it was, he would just smile and say, "nice view" and wink. I realise it's coasting by on attracting tourists and relying on its beautiful location, but, seriously, there are much better options around for a good meal. If you're a tourist, I suggest a walk along the canal, sit on one of the many benches to enjoy the view, then go for a meal elsewhere. Sorry ritz, never going back."

"Ottawa has a lot of great pizza places, but I'd say Colonnade took over as my favourite. Was KS but their quality went downhill slightly. The cheese and the crust are the best features of a Colonnade pizza. Amazing."
