"Our family has been coming to the store for about 30 years, ever since I was a child during the summers at out near by cottage. We came in with my nephews and our summer tradition was unfortunately ruined in about two minutes flat. The woman working the cash register began screaming about there being too many children in the store. There were my two nephews and a woman with two other children. All children were with their respective adults so the comments seemed quite unwarranted. She then accused my nephews of locking the front door, they were with us four adults the duration of our two minute stop, so this too was unwarranted. There were two employees behind the cash register and very few customers in the store, definitely not enough chaos going on to make her that fluster and rude. I’ve heard chamomile tea has many calming properties, I’m sure the store has it in stock, perhaps she she should try it."

"We are big into supporting locally owned and operated. Have been for breakfast three times now trying to give them a chance to get staffing etc. The first time we waited 20 mins to get coffee and menus. The food was another 30 mins but was ok when arrived. The worst of it was having to listen right behind us to the owner manager talk down in a loud voice to his cook he was obviously training. It was painful to listen to it. Embarrassing really. 2nd time another long wait to order and get food. Again, loud voice from the kitchen throughout the wait meal. Really spoils the mood in the restaurant. Today was 3rd time hoping Monday it would be quieter. 5 tables when we arrived. 3 had food already. Got seated coffee and menus right away! But then sat for 25 minutes and no one took our order. There were lots of people coming for takeout and coffee and only 1 server cashier. Although no yelling today, disappointed with the service again. Food has been as expected but,but overall the experience has not been great. Hopefully they can get staffing straightened out and the guy training the kitchen staff realizes his berating staff in front of customers is not cool."

"GF Poutine (Fries Gravy)!!!! They don't coat the frits in anything! Good old fashion friars as they should be. GF Debrezenger Wurst also! I can't talk about cross-contamination? Something to ask. Side note they have wildly caught Schellfries, but not sure if it is GF."

"As it is the pandemic, we needed 4 separate table as we were 4 separate households, we called ahead and were assured there was plenty of tables and to come on in. Once we are arrived, we restated our need for 4 tables. we were seated, only to have the owner come and start yelling at us calling us rude and bullying her staff when we had done nothing of the sorts, in fact quite the opposite by trying to be very respectful of their need to practice safe social distancing and sanitizing. It should also be known, that we were a group if Indigenous people, so it very much felt like this was racially, intolerance motivated. I would not recommend this place. The Bay Street Cafe next door has way better food, service and options."

"Bad customer service and waited 25 minutes. They for sure forgot my meals didn’t say sorry or anything. 2 couples behind me got their food (pizzas) before mine. Was not worth the wait. Got the vegan cheese on the “breadsticks” and the flatbread without cheese, got a whole 4 olives and a tiny portion or hummus. Not worth it."
