"We took our New Zealand cousins for an English pub evening meal and they were only able to describe it as a poor average experience. My wife's meal was the sea bass and was cool, my burger was ok fish and chips nothing special with the curry ok. Unfortunately we did not think we would return in the near future. "We've been going here for years (my Hubby loves the beer and so does my dad as he has a gluten allergy and they brew all the beer gluten free! Recently I ordered a case for fathers day delivery direct to my dad in Essex, unfortunately, it went missing in the hands of DHL! They despatched another case which DHL picked up a day late so the brewery were extremely apologetic and they kindly offered to deliver another case to us for free. My dad is now enjoying his cans of double stout!!"

"Beautiful small apartment. sat outside because of our dog and they turned on the outside heating and gave us really nice cover. the waitress was very nice and when she saw that we didn't have much tea, she went back and filled it even more. eating was also very good. I personally did not like the sauce in the burger. it is a very quiet place and ali the waiters were so friendly with our dog. I would highly recommend this place and I will come back here. "My partner and I, my daughter and many friends recently attended a wake for a dear friend. The landlord and lady couldn’t have been more accommodating allowing us to hang pictures outside and allowed music to be played outside as it was a very warm day. All the staff were friendly and never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to be served. The food was plentiful from sandwiches, homemade pizzas, chicken wings to homemade sausage rolls. A terrific send of for our dear friend."

"Lovely, lovely place. Good old fashioned pub at the front then opens to a beautiful conservatory overlooking lovely gardens. The food was a wonderful surprise high end quality but not high end prices. I have never seen Yorkshire puddings in my life like that! Staff were warm and friendly and efficient not something you always get nowadays! Am booking my return trip very soon."
