"We arrived to the La Casa de la Abuela to have a lunch in a quite calm day. The place is very close, cca 1 minute walking form the Plaza the Armas, so the location is excellent. At the moment we entered to the restaurant we knew that something is different here. The atmosphere remains a little bit to the old times and all the details are really well and carefully done. The owner is very welcoming, and it came up, that her partner is an artist - a wood sculptor. Claro... that is one of the secret of this place. The second one is the clay oven :) We both asked a muna (Andean mint) tea (3 Soles) and we received a whole jug with two ceramic cups. This is not so common... so we were so grateful for it! We also tasted the Tacos (15 Soles) and the Burritos (15 Soles) both were really nicely prepared and very delicious. We loved that the tortillas and the nachos were home-made! After this enjoyment we decided to ask a Pizza, just a vegetarian one (depending on the size 14/23/34 Soles). How good this decision was! They are baking their pizzas in the clay oven and also the base is home-made.. and it is full with nice vegetables that are in harmony with the spices on it. On the menu we saw that they also have raw cakes. Is it possible, that these ones are those ones we know? We have been traveling since a while here but we haven't seen them in Peru at all... Ok, why not? Give it a try! So we asked a Purple Chocolate Mousse raw cake (6 Soles) and we made a good decision. It had a great price and was amazingly delicious. And they are gluten & lactose free :) Thankyou."
