"Magnolia 23 is a quaint, eclectic place that has fantastic home-cooked food. The owner told me not to ask if he used pork in cooking because that is home-cooking. Whatever he uses, it works. A sign inside says they have been voted the 57th best fried chicken in the nation. My wife had that chicken, and she said it was the best she has ever had. I had the fried pork chop, and it was also excellent. We both had vegetables that were hot, fresh, and fantastic. We finished our meals with dessert. She had blackberry cobbler, and I had Hershey bar cake. Again, they were great. One thing that sets apart Magnolia 23 is the owner. He is out and about meeting and talking with the guests. It adds a great personal touch that 's missing in most places. The menu changes daily and is posted on chalkboards throughout the restaurant. When something runs out, they simply erase it from the board. They offer outside dining as well; however, due to the weather, we chose to eat inside. I think this is our new favorite place to go. Well done!"
