"Had a combo menu which contains two meat dish, one seafood dish and one vegetable choice. 30 dollars for the whole set is really amazing considering the food quality and taste! Omg!!!! It's the best skewers I've ever had in Australia. Definitely recommend this one. Two days in a row heading to Ashfield just for the skewers."

"New Shanghai is situated with many other shanghai restaurants around and this one stands out. It has great lunch specials including 10 buns for only $8.80 and comes with soup. It tastes great and there is a short waiting line. The menu has a lot...of variety and overall I would recommend to others to try."

"Not a bad yum cha. The restaurant is located inside RSL club so if you are not from the area you need to get your ID scanned to be able to enter the premises. The restaurant is quite sizeable and they even had tanks with lobsters and abalone. We ordered the usual: char gow, rice noodles with prawns, garlic chives and prawn dumplings, spinach dumplings, chicken feet, mango pancakes. I judge yum cha places by their chicken feet and it was just ok (didn't quite like the sauce which was too sweet and no spicy flavour) but other dishes were good. Mango pancake was a bit disappointing too, probably because it's not a mango season."

"After years of exploring the Chinese options in Sydney, I've found that Chinese restaurant for keeps. Love this place. I've lived in China and some dishes you won't find anywhere else in Sydney. Everything I've tried is to be repeated and even accepted, as mainstays - the food and service is that good."
