"As recommended by Fukuoka Now website, we took the subway all the way to the outskirts to try this ramen. We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday and queued for 30 minutes. Not disappointing at all. Totally worth the trek! The broth was very authentic, thick and creamy. This is a no-frills 100% local hakata ramen. Char siew was thick, and loads of garlic and spring onions. There's no English menu, but you can just point to the photo in the Fukuoka Now booklet. Only 600 yen for a bowl! You can also order 10 Gyozas for 350 yen. Fried rice seems popular too. The waiter will ask you whether you want your noodles hard, medium or soft. Highly recommended if you have time!"
