"I eat regularly here. Chef Chad has become a great friend. His dishes are absolutely delicious. Best Alfredo I've ever had. I love the Pesto Gnocchi. The basil chicken is also fabulous. But last night, I tried the steak. Oh... mine. Every bite was delicious. Beautiful and unexpected presentation. Dimensions in aromas of herbal butter, accompanying sauce, smoking rosemary as it came to the table. Chef Chad is a treasure. Unbelievable food without preference can be found in many restaurants that serve this quality of the price."

"We had a date night and ordered take out. It was going to be several minutes, so we decided to walk around. While out the power to the entire Riverwoods went out. Nervous we weren't going to be able to get our food or anything we headed back. The cooks prepared our order still, in the dark and via flashlights. The service staff packed our stuff and provided such an excellent level of service, particularly during a bit of a panic for them. The team here was excellent. The service was also above expectation. "The food is always so delicious and the service has always been fantastic! I love the brunch! The chicken fried steak is the best I’ve had! Their dinners are also very delicious! The Elk was amazing when they had it on the menu! The sour dough bread is to die for!"

"My grandparents wandered from Italy (Sicily) to Argentina, so I grew up eating was Italian food and I absolutely LOVE the gnocchis they sell!!! And I love the owner who calls me Bella every time she sees me. I love her Italian food, it is authentic and delicious!!"

"The food was remarkably delicious! They just recently opened Brunch Mon -Fri and not just Saturday. So a great menu for breakfast! We had a hash root bowl, cookies and Sage engraving, and a coconut milk, Chia pudding with pineapple and cooked coconut flakes. I shared mine with my most important one and it was perfect. Even another person would have filled her belly to the generous amounts. This place is definitely the taste you get with quality over quantity! If you want to dine a stylish, refined place, with delicious delicious food, come to the Commune!!! So glad I did it!"

"Taste is amazing! The cafe is amazing great ambiance, service and food. Yes, maybe a little pricey, but it's definitely a treat. I love their selection of gourmet chocolates from their in house factory but also from around the world. If you're looking for a great date night or girls' luncheon idea, this is a great place!"

"Fantastic experience! I am so glad I gave this restaurant a second chance I'd had a mediocre brunch experience, but decided to try again for the dinner menu, and I'm glad I did. The server was fantastic and gave us great information on the menu and specials, and was generally delightful. The cocktails were excellent (and not watered down) and our meals were delicious. I had the bolognese and my date had the salmon. The menu is pricy, but it's great for a special occasion!"

"I just don't understand this place. is it semi fine dining. is it a Diner style. is it really Italian? just didn't get it. and i guess next time i want a real Malibu Chicken, ill just have to go to Sizzler. And the Marinara tasted like Ragu out of a can. why cant I just find some really fresh Italian food? and if the Chef needs a place to wipe his hands, he should try the hand towel's in the restroom. Not on his Chefs Coat."
