"This isn't your normal sandwich shop. Ike's sandwiches really have love baked into each hand made sandwich. I was in the city and wanted to try something new and filling so after scouting my options on yelp I decided on Ike's. I ordered a sandwich which was contained buffalo chicken with a drink on the side. Their sandwiches are truly rich with flavor from the bread to the meat and sauces themselves. MAJOR DIFFERENCE FROM SUBWAY! I've had other sandwich spots too and most do not wow me as most sandwich shops are created equal but in the case of Ike's they are in a league of their own. Fair priced good food with a friendly staff made my first experience here a pleasure. They have a variety of specialty sandwiches like the Philly cheesesteak so you'll have plenty of choices each visit. Hoping to see more of these locations appear nationwide ^ ^"

"I stopped lunch with a friend. There was a line as there was a peak meal, but it moved quite fast. The menu lists several vegan options, but when I ordered, I had to ask for bread (whole wheat is not vegan) and repeat that I wanted everything vegan. We both ordered the Pilgrim sandwich that was good. They also give lollipops in the bag and the staff remembered the last second to double check if we wanted vegans, so we exchanged ours. Overall a good place to win a fast bite."

"When we first got to Ike’s Place, at 11:30am, there was already a line outside the door – 10 deep. By the time we got our food, the line extended even longer. This hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop draws all types, far and near, to this part of the town. The parking situation stinks – had to park almost two blocks away. The seating is few, with vultures waiting around for people to leave. With all of this, one might ask – Would I come back? . . . Yes, I would. With its 100+ item sandwich menu, I settled on a chicken sandwich – Menage a Trois with Halal Chicken Breast, Real Honey, Honey Mustard, BBQ, PepperJack, Swiss, Smoked Gouda. The chicken breast, the honey, and the bbq is a nice combination. But the dutch crunch bread is what made the sandwich special. They also have a sauce called the dirty sauce, which I fail to remember and was recommended. All I remember was the crunchy and softness of the bread. I think San Francisco is lucky to have a sandwich place like Ike’s."
