"It’s definitely a very tidy way to stay in a $10 per meal type of budget. The sandwich is usually served toasted, and was quite filling when I had it. The chicken and avocado sandwich (pictured), could do with a little more mayo for my taste, but the creamy avo definitely helps with that."

"Kensington Street is an up and coming food Street in Sydney with a variety of food options. I visited Automata this evening and tried their 5-course set menu. <br>

Service was excellent, the team was friendly, affable and helpful. I like how they smile and attend to each and every diner patiently.<br>

I have visited several fine dining spots before Automata. I can remember the tasty potato bread with daishi at Ester, the confit trout at Tetsuya's, the Japanese stones at Sepia or the Granny's apple at Lumi. However, I find that there may be nothing at Automata which is memorable. <br>

Food is not bad and they were wonderfully prepared. I like how the main dishes were served warm and the dessert is served cold. Some restaurants have pre-prepared their food and it's annoying to take your food at room temperature (20 degrees). <br>

However, they were not exceptional.<br>

"Just eating in this reataurant...I was really looking forward to some tender rubs...unfortunately they are not up to scratch...really tough meat...not at all good for a place that specialises in ribs...wont be back"

"The two shops I frequent here are Coles JB HiFi. Nice little shopping mall that’s easy to get around and well decorated. It’s great if you’re nearby but I don’t generally choose to come here, which is why it’s missing that 5th star."
