"I was traveling through the city and was so excited to read the reviews of this restaurant. I must have visited them on an off day as I wasn 't too impressed with them. As other posters mentioned everything is clearly labelled on the menu. It was VERY easy to find vegan options (everything is at least vegetarian , which was really nice. The server looked very grumpy not friendly at all. We were one table out of 4 the whole time we were there and he didn 't look much nicer to any of the other tables. We ordered our food medium and found it was way too hot for our tastes. Be sure to ask for mild (or no spice! if you don 't like your food too spicey! The food itself was average I 've had much better elsewhere. Though the naan was really tasty, everything else was just average. If we were to pass through town again, I would definitely go somewhere else."

"This place has a dive bar vibe with some of the best (fresh) vegan food I’ve had in awhile!! The staff was friendly and attentive and the seitan wings vegan ranch are to die for!! A must try when in Iowa City!"

"Amazing place for some great chicken burgers! I took the spicy chicken burger and it was really delicious with the right amount of spice. The staff is very friendly and courteous! Good selection of drinks as well. Must go if you ate around in downtown Iowa City!"

"I feel totally let down. Shakespeare’s has been in Iowa city ever since I can remember I mean for at least 20 years right ??? I have driven by it 1000 times and never gone there. I got this idea to try something new. this place is cool I ordered the wings, their wings are outstanding they definitely trumped the vine !! Really nice people working there, a good atmosphere, tasty food, what’s not to like! thanks Shakespeare for a great night!"

"We love going to Wilson's for brunch and during one of our outings realized it would be a great spot to get married. We were quickly able to get in touch with the venue coordinators and set a date! Everyone at Wilson's Ciderhouse was so easy to work with and eager to help make our wedding the best day it could be. Laura and Isabelle were incredibly helpful and always willing to answer questions. They were very responsive and organized, making the planning process incredibly easy on us. They are also super kind and were lovely to have at the actual wedding itself. The venue was beautiful and the staff did a wonderful job setting up and allowing the day to run smoothly. The food was delicious, which we continue to get comments on from our guests! Everything exceeded our expectations, we are so happy with our decision to have held our wedding at Wilson's! And we'll definitely be back for more brunch!"
