"Visited with friends for Sunday Roast and it was absolutely delicious! Tender, tasty meat (2 x pork 2 x beef) and a variety of fresh veg, including the most scrumptious cauliflower cheese and humongous Yorkshire puddings . The portions are big but we all managed to eat every morsel after a walk on Dartmoor. Sundays are busy, book ahead to avoid disappointment."

"After a lovely walk on the moors and a visit to the Dartmoor prison museum you get to the lovely village of Princetown and this lovely village pub. It was a lovely sunny and warm Sunday and indoors well a Halloween paradise so well thought out. We opted for 2 Sunday lunches which was delicious and then went to sit outside enjoying more sun in the Garden. We will be back to sample more delights. Great atmosphere in the pub and staff very friendly. Well done."

"After seeing 5* reviews, went there for a birthday meal. There was constant swearing from other people. It was awful, definitely would not recommend food either. Biggest waste of £50"

"Back again for evening meal. Once again our food was wonderful. This place can’t be beaten for the price. Great selection of beer and wine as usual. Friendly and easy going service. Best pub for miles around. "Superb in every respect. A good menu with options for veggies and vegans and coeliacs and all the food we tried was really excellent perfectly cooked and seasoned. "Just came home from our third visit to the drake manor inn, and yet again it was fantastic! such a warm welcome from the personal and we quickly set ourselves in a cozy corner. we ordered three of the trios of sausages and maic and a mushroom tagliatelle. all the dishes were absolutely delicious, the sausages were incredible, and the portions were so generous! then we all had the chocolate cheese cake with the peanut butter ice cream, only wow! can not recommend this place enough. my mother and my partner will even go to bed a Sunday so they can also enjoy the night of music! so thank you for a nice evening, of 4 very happy customers. I'll see you soon!"

"I loved the 3 cheesecakes with salad and new kartoffels. my friends had the fish chips and the curry and were also very satisfied with their meal times. friendly personal and welcoming atmosphere. a great eating and meeting point for everyone. we arrived at 4 o'clock and a complete menu was still available. visit us."

"Friendly staff with very reasonably priced drinks. Does get lively so not the place to go if you want a quiet drink. Has pool tables and darts boards upstairs, plus televisions to keep up to date with Sport if you wish. When we were in, there was the Grand National on one, the football on another and the golf on another. Definitely my goto pub when in Okehampton."

"Great service! The turkey, pancetta and sweet red pepper lasagne was absolutely divine. Huge portion, very reasonably priced. My husband got two large pork steaks with lemon, ginger, sweet chilli and sherry sauce which was equally enjoyed. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much!"
