"On a recent shopping trip round our fair town we found ourselves in old town and needing good food. We'd spotted Laila's before but had not been able to get so this was a perfect opportunity to try lunch as it was fairly quiet. We had a meze style including potatoes (Batata Harra), falafel with hummus, deep fried halloumi with cranberry sauce and Baba Ghanoush with Iraqi bread. It was all delicious and we were full at the end."

"Got a Wowcher to try them out which required prebooking. Tried unsuccessfully by phone and then tried emailing again with no response. Obviously they're either not keen on business or just purely not hospitable type of people which seems in line with other reviews. Traded in Wowcher for a F&B's voucher and no problems with making a booking."

"The secret garden. this small caffe from the high street attracts it with its colorful façade and bright spacious interieur. there is a wide range of foods that mainly brittle with some Turkish or Greek options. when the sun is outside, there is a beautiful small courtyard from the back, which is a riot of plants and flowers. I took a place and had the lemon chicken with salad and crusty brot. it was beautifully presented, fresh and delicious. the prices were fair and the service was good so that a return is likely."

"The smell of eating will beat them before they see the building. absolutely the best pizza I've ever eaten, and the most friendly staff. I've never been to italics, so I don't know how it compares, but if there's something close, I'll buy a flight ticket soon. the greatest regret is not a place for dessert. get the Risotto balls!"
