"We have been customers since it opened, but since the owners have not been in charge of customer service, rudeness has crept in- for instance, on our last visit a staff member openly complained about having to open the chiller to sell us some cake near the close of business! Unbelievable attitude! Then we were charged $5 for a piece of cake! there is no price list for cake or baked goods which is unacceptable. Very disappointing!"

"A evening drop in for a glass of beer and a snack. Self serve at the bar with a good selection of west coast ales. The food was excellent and the servings moderate. Eclectic mix of customers of all ages. Highly recommended!"

"This place was great. Good prices and amazing food. Nice atmosphere and over all 5/5. Good service the entire time as well. And the table next to us had 2 boys at it and our server took the time to show them some magic tricks and still manage to top up our drinks and give us great service as well."

"I just had the best experience at Frankie's. I am travelling with a small school group and I'm used to getting an exasperated look when we pull into a restaurant unannounced. Here we had the exact opposite experience. We were welcomed with open arms and smiles. Great meal. Beautiful view. The best orange juice I have ever had!"

"My girlfriend and I live in the apartments above Ruth & Dean. I get an americano there on the way to work almost every morning. Their baked goods are amazing, especially their cinnamon buns. I would also recommend their quiche. It's worth taking a trip to Victoria just to taste this quiche. The team working there are friendly, helpful, and directly invested in the outcome of their business, making this, in the end, a worthy and genuine luncheonette that you should definitely visit."

"My in-laws vacation in Victoria and we came to visit them. This is their favorite for Pannekoek and croquettes. When we went, the fryers weren't working so we couldn't have the croquettes. Our meals were very good. We stopped back later in the week to...try the croquettes (a must if you are Dutch). They were very good with the right seasoning. Glad we stopped back. Staff was very friendly and good service."
