"No frills but just great tasting dishes that make you want to come back again and again. That's precisely what happened to me. The small dinning area can be busy very quickly. Thanks to the bar top, for single dinners like me, we are lucky to always be able to fit in. The menu is interesting without being fussy. You will have to debate a little with yourself on what to get each time. But it won't be long. Haha. The dishes are savory, reflects the region, beautifully plated, good portion."

"After making the reservation on Open Table, the restaurant said they don’t take reservations, so my party had to wait during lunch rush hour for a table. OpenTable should not allow me to make reservations for restaurants that do not use OpenTable...Duh! If I have to call the restaurant to confirm my open table reservation, I might as well not even use open table. Please fix."

"First time here since they switched chefs/front of the house and concept. Menu wasn 't at all what we were expecting but we were beyond pleasantly surprised. Turns out we were there for the Sunday menu which other than a couple of plates is completely different than the rest of the week, and was great. Creative names, inventive and adventurous combinations of things, but there were too many things to try! We ended up getting the BBQ platter to share which came with generous portions of smoked pork shoulder, bbq beans, disgusting mac and cheese, slaw, and the best collards any of us had ever eaten (duck broth and jowls). I will definitely be going back to try some of the more adventurous items like the chicken heart tacos, maybe even the veal brains tacos. Cheering on these young CIA grads and hope they get traction and a following in Durham."

"M kokko is a hidden gem in the inner city of durham. I ordered the pork chops and spicy kfc wings. they have limited seats inside, so I would recommend to sit on the waiting list, and then explore the city inside. Although this place is small, it is quality."
