"A restaurant in a beautiful area, with good views of the Douro River. It is significantly cheaper than the price average of other restaurants in the area, but I would say that the food is also something below average. The staff is not really friendly and it takes long to get the attention of the waiter to order drinks/food. But if you want to eat at a reasonable price with a little less quality, then this place is a thousand times better than the others here."

"A bit hidden and a bit small, but huge portions and excellent flavors! On recommendation from our landlord, we ate an early lunch here. Fried octopus, tomatoey rice and beans, we waved away all appetizers except the delicious bacalhau bolinhos, which we could have made...a meal if easily. A bottle of vinho verde and webhad a long and fabulous lunch. They do not hurry you at all here. Next time we will order the grilled octopus and a double order of the bacalhau bohlinos."

"Just don't go here. Food was medeocre at best and the waiter serving us was obviously drunk. We got the wine AFTER we got the main course. They served spaghetti together with schnitzel. I mean COME ON. Definitely a tourist trap. Worst price/quality in Porto."

"We were 4 nights in porto and chose a very quiet opposite with a room in the hotel premium porto downtown. on the street, we found this little restaurant, which is very practical. so much that we were there in the evening when we arrived and left in the evening before that and to be honest, it was both beautiful! At first we were really happy to discover that the new owner is like us French. he was so nice and took time to explain his menu and his projects for this restaurant. also his personal is extremely welcome. the kitchen with the small team of köchen is open in the first floor and this is often a guarantee for seriousness and good quality. the duques and duquesas are original starters created by the chef. they are like cream buffers, but one is filled with local sausage, while the other is made with impacted goat cheese. delicious and not expensive. the swarm was great and the side was devine. my fiancée took the cod. for the second time we could not resist and take the duquesas as appetizers again and I wanted to try a vegetarian dish. the vegetarian alheira is just fantastic! it tastes like the famous portugiesenwurst and I love the way it is deconstructed. we have already congratulated the chef for his fine kitchen and the owners as well as the waiters for their warm welcome, but we really want to thank them again with this review! julien and aline"
