"The menu over-claimed and so we were sorely disappointed. We ordered the bun “full to the gunwales” with lobster prawn and with mayonnaise. It was full but only of mayonnaise and an OK amount of prawn, but the tiniest slither of lobster. Couldn’t taste anything other than the mayo. Chucked it away sadly. Pity as the people were lovely and other reviews were great. Maybe it was impacted by the pandemic’s challenges."

"My family visited Barluga in Morpeth for what we intended to be a couple of hours. However the surly young waiter spoiled the experience. Abrupt and offhand and seemingly wanting to do something else, he made it very uncomfortable. Shame really, as we intended...to have a few rounds of drinks. The result was, we had one and took our business elsewhere."
